Corina T., B.Sc. (O.T.)
Following illness or injury our world is suddenly and irrevocably changed. We become immersed in learning how to live with a new reality. My passion is bringing healing to people who have been through a traumatic or stressful experience. I help my clients navigate their new reality to find healthy perceptions of themselves as peaceful, whole and safe.
No single approach is right for every individual, so I have trained in a range of modalities including exposure therapy, cognitive behavior therapy, mindfulness, sensory processing for self-regulation, relaxation, cognitive remediation, Progressive Goal Attainment (PGAP), and life-style modifications. As an Occupational Therapist, I work with individuals to recover participation in valued life roles and meaningful activities.
My educational background includes a Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy. Professionally, I worked in Physical Rehabilitation and Acute as well as Tertiary Psychiatry. In private practice, I support recovery with persons experiencing PTSD, depression, anxiety, addictions, and other mental health challenges. I am a “Pain Champion” with Pain BC, and previously served as a guest presenter with the Arthritis Society (BC & Yukon division) facilitating pain self-management groups.
“I think it really reflects how you feel about the work you do, what your unique skills are and it sounds amazing!” From Carole Kennedy, February 18, 2018
