Rehabilitation Assistant Job Posting:

Spectrum Rehabilitation Services Inc. in Kelowna is looking for an experienced Rehabilitation Assistant/Support Worker, part-time, to work with clients with traumatic brain injuries, mental health issues, and physical limitations.  The hours will vary depending on the clients and may include evenings and weekends.  The RA will work under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist to assist with any of the following:  skills training for activities of daily living, behavioural modification strategies, cognitive remediation exercises, exposure therapy, and community integration.  The successful candidate must have a valid BC driver’s license; current First Aid and CPR Certification and a minimum of 1 year experience working with brain-injured individuals within the last 5 years.  A certificate from a recognized Rehabilitation Assistant Diploma Program or equivalent would be an asset.

SPECTRUM Rehabilitation Services is a rehabilitation consulting company with 24 years of experience in the Thompson/Okanagan area.  Our team provides an array of services aimed at assisting individuals achieve optimum health and return to productive activities.

With the addition of new contracts and a growth of our customer base, the need for additional Occupational Therapists has arisen.  We are currently seeking experienced therapists to start in the next month with a desire to grow and succeed with us.

Responsibilities May Include:

  • Conducting standardized assessments, including Functional Capacity Evaluations, Cost of Future Care Analysis, Work Site Assessments, Job/Physical Demands Analysis, Home and Safety Assessments.
  • Developing and monitoring community-based occupational therapy programs and case management for soft tissue, orthopedic, brain and other complex injuries.
  • Developing and monitoring individualized return to work programs.


  • A university degree or Masters in Occupational Therapy
  • Registration and in good standing with the College of Occupational Therapists of B.C. and member of CAOT.
  • Minimum of two years` experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication.
  • Valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel.
  • Preference given to candidates with Certification from Roy Matheson.
